Alors avant de commencer , je suis pas très douée en anglais, je préfère vraiment l'allemand et le français . Mais je sais que tu veux vraiment que je t'aide, donc j'essaie de t'aider :

Donc voilà mes réponses :

1 ) It is important that the Statue of Liberty be the product of French and American efforts because France has supported America by providing money to Americans. France also provided America with men and weapons of war.So, I think that France offered a kind of gift to the Americans and that's why we can say that the Statue of Liberty is an American and a French effort.

2 )Gustave Eiffel's contributions to the Statue of Liberty were important because although he was best known for his contributions to a French tower in Paris (the Eiffel Tower), he also helped to contribute to the internal structure that supports the Statue of Liberty. He chose to use a flexible structure so that changes in temperature or, for example, strong ocean winds would not break the Statue. So I think Gustave Eiffel's contributions are important because he was able to make the Statue more solid. Also, he was also responsible for the construction of two staircases inside the statue to help visitors reach the observation point in the crown of the statue. I think this is very ingenious and original.

3 )Finally, some Americans were against the construction of the Statue of Liberty. Indeed, they disputed that Bartholdi was French and that for them, they believed that American monuments should be built only by Americans. Also others felt that the statue was not a gift from the French because the Americans had to pay for the pedestal of the statue. So this is why some Americans were against the construction of the Statue of Liberty.
